Tsunami Warning for NZ while Kiteboarding at Ruakaka

The weather forecast showed a small increase of pressure at the Northern end of bream bay was due between 10am and lunchtime.
So I headed off from Waipu arriving 20mins later at Mair Road, just opposite Marsden Cove on Bream Bay.

The wind was cranking!
Matt arrived shortly after and threw mw his new Go Pro I threw him my digital SLR.
Pumped up quickly, nice 3 strut one-pump system kite.

Hit the water well lit up on the 12m in well over 20 knts of wind, still no where near it's top end.

Now lets clear one thing up... I had no idea there had been a massive 8.0 earthquake or that a Tsunami warning had been issued at this time.

So oblivious to this I was fully focussed on the conditions and my kite.
